Task: To encourage user engagement on our platform and gain brand exposure on social media, I developed a photo-sharing contest to win a free year of our product.

Role: Concept, strategy, creative, blog content, landing page, Facebook ad campaign, and social shares.

Results: Immediately popular with our users and followers. Generated an impressive number of shares on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. Such a success that it was reinstated a second time.

Notes: This was more than a standard “share our hashtag and win” contest. The winning photos are used on the login page of the app with a link to the user’s profile page, encouraging ongoing community engagement and giving the product itself authenticity. The terms of the contest also supplied the company with a wealth of license-free photos to use in their marketing that have that unmistakable user-generated feeling you can’t get elsewhere.

Strava Breaks Up with Relive

Task: The popular fitness app Strava ended an integration with the Relive app in July 2019. This upset Strava users, so we seized the opportunity to promote our fitness app in an indirect way.

Role: Concept, strategy, creative, targeting, and execution.

Results: A satisfying number of pixel-tracked signups and conversions for several weeks.

Notes: As seen in the Instagram feed video above, the creative utilized mostly license-free photos, minimizing costs.
